personal answer after 40 hours of gameplay, if you want to play alone, no reason to wait for 1.0 go for it, if you wanna play with friends, probably better to wait for 1.0 cause right now im having so many problems with it, really made me lose interest in the game unfortunately

Com on almost 6 years, and videos with the 1.0 mentionned and still on early acess, not even a release date or month or year ? With the success they got , it's taking way to long.

There's a few I feel like I've heard for the first time. Or maybe they were in the game, just not used yet, or very rare

No, you should not wait. Because your first play through will be throw away. I'll play it, get a bout 1/4th the way through, realized you made a grave design error in your main factory layout and, rather than continuing to spaghettying your factory, you'll decide to just start over, with lessons learned. Then, you'll get about 2/3rds the way through and realize, oh, if I had just done "this" from the start, my life would be so much easier now, and you may completely rebuild (I have a nice shiny factory right next door to my now defunct and crappy looking old factory), or you may decide again, to just restart from the beginning. So, take the time to learn now.

After putting in over 350 hours into my current factory, it's hard to want to restart. I also built in the northwest... time to start rerouting all my conveyors.

Keep your chin up guys. Despite all these things that you aren't implementing, You've still given us one of the most enjoyable games I've played in a long time. I bought this back in 2018, and still put about a hundred hours per year (at least) into the game. You guys have done a great job and a great game.

i want to try this game but im worried because i read it has no endgame goal to consider it beaten and im the kind of player that need those. For example in factorio and oxygen not included you have to launch a rocket into space. In ONI they also give you a midgame objective to consider the asteroid fully controled/colonized (hard to build monument)
